Our services embrace design in its deepest sense across all areas of our business – whether we are designing moving roofs for sports stadia, inter-urban rail systems, change management programmes for government or projects to improve health services delivery.
In our approach to design we apply the same principle as we do in everything else – making sure we totally grasp and understand our customers’ requirements, goals and expectations right from the very earliest days in the life of the project. On large projects with multidisciplinary teams we are used to facilitating this process through workshops involving all team members including the customer. This creates the climate for novel thinking at the outset as well as reinforcing collaboration, leading to timely, value for money and cutting edge solutions – whatever the sector or project.
Wherever appropriate we use our state-of-the-art visualisation techniques to give customers and stakeholders a clear grasp of the concept design proposals and test the impact of different scenarios from a range of dimensions including environmental, ergonomic, operational, aesthetic and safety. It’s also a highly cost and time effective tool during detailed design when we’re able to integrate data from modelling and analysis into the 3D visual model to present increasingly accurate representations and highlight any areas for additional attention before they become potential problems. In all aspects of our design development work we’re always equipped with the latest modelling and analysis tools – including cutting-edge software we’ve developed ourselves.
